MRW Driving - The start of your driving journey.

My name is Mark Richard Wootton (MRW) and I am originally from Albrighton, a small village just outside Wolverhampton. I passed my driving test in 1981 and I have been driving for over 40 years.
In 1982 I joined the army and served for 22 years, many of them overseas. Whilst in the Royal Engineers, I learnt to drive tracked vehicles and articulated lorries.
In 2006 I joined Cambridgeshire Constabulary as a police officer, and I completed my response and pursuit driving courses. After serving as a police officer for 17 years, I retired in July 2023, and decided to become a driving instructor. I am not one to sit at home doing nothing, and driving instruction is what I have chosen to do, to keep myself busy.

Meet Mark, Your Instructor

Driving - A Skill For Life.

Your journey begins

Together with your instructor, you will regularly discuss your progress and learning requirements. You will work as a team to steadily progress through the various lessons, heading towards an agreed goal - to pass your driving test.
You will feel supported and encouraged, every step of the way.

Build your confidence

Learning to drive can be a daunting experience.
The aim of your instructor is to help you to learn a new skill, to the point where you have belief and confidence in your own ability.
With each lesson you will become more independent, take responsibility for your own driving and become less reliant on your instructor.

The end goal

By the time your test date comes around, you will feel prepared and confident. This is what you have been working so hard towards. Passing your driving test will give you new found freedom and complete independence. No more waiting for buses or trains, no more relying on lifts from friends or family.
You will have gained ‘a skill for life’!
